Low tech community compost

Possible project for the Waste Guild - low tech community compost. Last year while visiting the Grand kids, we toured the University of Tennessee compost project. They collect all the food material from the campus and bring the stuff to a 1 acre area. The area has three large piles, each pile is at a different stage of composting. At intervals they use a large front end loader to churn and move the pile contents to the next pile. We might work with the Port to set up such a pilot project.
